Spot the different pot game, part 2

Well, nobody has the right answer yet, and I think it has mostly to do with the fact that the picture yesterday wasn't so good. So, I took them again, and here they are, in no particular order. Since Toki asked, why not, let's throw in a prize. Let's get that out of the way first.

This is a Japanese Bizen-ware yunomi guinomi that I have, but never used, and would love to send it to somebody who will actually use it. It's a waste sitting on my shelves, and I have way too many cups as it is. The first person who gets the right answer (if there is one) gets the cup, worldwide. Polls close midnight EST tomorrow.

Here are the five pots again, in no particular order. A short hint -- it has nothing to do with size and shape, and none of the theories in the last post are what I had in mind. They are, in fact, valid (i.e. one of them is a decorated pot while the others are all classical shapes, etc). They just aren't what I was thinking when I first posted it up. Maybe this is an impossible guessing game and it's all a bit of a waste of time. Anyway, here we go.

Now, enjoy :)

I have no idea what the answer is, but LOVE the prize. Hope some lucky winner figures it out and takes that beautiful Japanese cup off your shelf.

I searched your blog back to December 31, 2007 for pictures. I've have not seen Pot #2 before and it seems to have less shine than the others. I'm assuming it's the newest.

Thanks, I quite like the cup myself, but think it deserves a better home. A slight fix though -- it's not nearly big enough to be a yunomi. What was I thinking?

the fourth pot has been seasoned the longest/the most, hence its shininess compared with the other pots?

1) The Shi Piao's lid is flat, others are round.
2) The 'Gong Chung' seems to be from zhu ni, others are not.

Oh wow. I didn't notice that before. The fourth pot has three little legs underneath it. The other pots all have flat bottoms.

I don't need another nice tea cup, but thanks for offering a prize.

The first pot looks like the one you just cleaned with all the nicks, scratches and uneven lines on it. Have you been able to find out its age yet? I kinda agree with you it seems older than the other pots.

The decorated one. Either different clay, or different firing temperature.

The second pot also has feet. However, the second one is the only one that isn't round, it's a hexagon.

Pot number two is the only one that decreases in diamater from the base up. All the others have a ball shape that increase in diameter from the base to a wide middle and then decrease in diameter to the top.
